Hmmmm. My first Warp release was Amber, although before I knew about B-12, I kept seeing Electro Soma in Chicago and other places. I remember I was in NYC and purchased Amber from the Mega store right there off Lafayette....I was heading to Other Music but it hadn't opened yet so I dashed across the street, all frantic and shit, to the Mega store and got it. Funny cuz I got my first Aphex disc that day too from Throb..... -----Original Message----- From: atomly [mailto:atomly@atomly.com] Sent: Wednesday, October 10, 2001 10:16 AM To: idm@hyperreal.org Subject: Re: [idm] warp Well, I guess I'll wax nostalgic since everybody else seems to be: My brother took me to my first rave in 92 or 93 (I was like 12) and I loved it. I was already into electronic music a bit (Nine Inch Nails and the Prodigy, mostly) and got really heavily into it then. I picked up stuff like Moby and Zoo Rave 1 and it kind of went from there. Back then ravers listened to IDM in chill-out rooms and Aphex still made dancefloor material. Ah, the good ol' days. :P -- :: atomly :: atomly@atomly.com | atomly@my2way.com http://www.atomly.com/ | 877.741.3571 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
