I'd have to say the Treaure Isle Dub Vols 1&2, most other Treasure Isle titles deal with the pure rocksteady sound and some early deejay bizness someone else mentioned Twilight Circus, which if you dont already own is essential Most comps on the Dubhead record label from the UK The Bush Chemists - light up your spliff LKJ in Dub (essential!!!) Dub Specialist - 17 shots from studio one (dubs all the classic riddims) Better Dub from Studio One (includes the dub of the reggae cover of James Browns 'get on the good foot' - called Gready G) Anyting involving the Aggrovators (someone else mentioned this) Mad Professor (Secret of the Master Tape) Jah Shaka (any of the ten commandments of dub early numbers are better IMO) Jackie Mittoo - Any of his work (not strictly dub, but worth a listen) Yabby You - Jesus Dread (Awesome amazing 4lp box set) Twinkle Brothers - Dub Massacre Pts 1&2, 3&4 Dub Almighty Chapters series (believe there are currently five in this series) Alpha & Omega - All albums Prince Far I - Cry Tuff (chapter 3 is my favourite) Black Uhuru - Brutal dub nu-dub Burnt Friedman & Nu Dub Players - Just Landed Pole - 1,2 & 3 Rhythmn & Sound Feat TIkiman - showcase Unitone Hi-Fi Cee-Mix Guidance's excellent HIFI DUB SESSIONS -i --- "Lance @ Inaudible" <lance@inaudible.com> wrote:
