You know, I thought the same exact thing, and now play the record exclusively at 33. The 45 speed didn't sound entirely out of line with the note range that herren was working with on Folk Songs, though, IMO. At any rate, whoever buys the forthcoming CD comp of the IA series should know that they'll be missing something very beautiful if it's burned at the faster speed. I'll be interested to hear which way it plays.
