I have to say that for me the L'usine ICL album, a pseudo steady state was the most important release of 2k. The fact that there are so many inconspicuous organic elements, yet it still has that idm dsp-driven sound really makes it a standout. Someone was talking about with everyone having the same tools (in the dsp thread) everything starts sounding a like. Well this is the first album in some time to really have a unique sound. Granted I loved the Isophlux releases, and the change took a little while to get used to, but I think the music that this points towards is more innovative and groundbreaking than the pure DSP driven laptop styles (tho' i love that stuff too). Anyway, YMMV :) -Gil np: the young gods.second nature --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
