I want to know how many Aphex Twins can dance on the head of a pin!
I would like to hear more from him because I think he is a fine composer
and sound designer. This whole 'resigning from music' thing I believe is
his way of taking a few years off to decide what to do next, now that
the sky has shit pots of money on him. If he said 'I'm taking a year off'
no one would think twice about it. "I'm not going to release any more records"
adds to his mystique. He's not some damn Rimbaud you know. He's a red
haired goof from the provinces with a bit of talent who got lucky.
Anything you read in a magazine attributed to him has always been quite a
bit less than serious, so just hold tight -- it's not like there isn't
anything else to listen to.
