Well I just got finished listening to the Hrvatski Oiseaux 96-98 cd and
overall I have to say that it's some fine and blippy IDM. The last track
on the disc (Cirrus Minor) is horrible though. Im sitting here at work
with my headphones on and im listening to 12 minutes of the most
terrible noises. Is this music? I've noticed this style of IDM is on at
least one track from many recent albums I've purchased. I really don't
go for it. It isn't music, it isn't musical and it isn't very pleasant
to listen to. What's the purpose? Or is this just going back to the
discussion about artists more concerned with the technical triumph of
the sound rather than the feeling?
