the SONY line of "Digital Reference" headphones are rather spectacular, and
range from $30 US all the way up to $700! The latter of which being a set
constructed from super-resonant plastic casing.... and get this....
Biologically GROWN diaphragms!!
I am using a set of MDR-CD570's right now - retail for about $100 US, and
have absolutely NO complaints about them. Can wear the suckers all day and
not ever get the 'head-pings'!
They sound terrific too... I've been picking up on subtleties that I never
thought existed!
