Gee. And I thought I was the only one.... Lifeforms may not have been the neatest melodic or timbral experience, but its disparate pallette of sounds call up an extremely complex and highly detailed set of mental images when it is listened to intently, with or without chemical mind enhancement. I could personally direct quite an interesting movie set to Lifeforms, in fact, I think I could come up with several. Therein lies Lifeforms' intrinsic value. Go listen to Mu-ziq if you want cool melodies or Aphex if you want strange timbres. Lifeforms is more of a painting than a work of music.
