Listened to Plastikmans "Afrika" the other day, and wondered what an african
drummer would would think about that song -beatwise.So i went to the local
african music importer and asked for the best african percussionist he knew.
Choosing between a lot of different countries and styles, he picked out a
Nyanyu Addo CD for me, in which sleeve it said he had earlier cooporated
with house dj Ted Bowes. My question is, does anybody here have any
knowledge about african percussionists? Im mostly into experimental
electronic music, but sometimes i hear these amazing african beats on tv or
radio, and i just dont know how to get some of that music - hopefully played
with drums only. /Dwane.
