First I ever heard of Opiate (or Alva Noto for that matter) was the Opto Files EP a couple of weeks ago in Selectadisc. Still, I'll have to look out for more. Opiate is Thomas Knak from Copenhagen. He produced Bjork's last album "Vespertine" and runs a label "Hobby Industries", which has some memorible releases (including Opiate). He also is part of a collective called "Future 3" that has been release some gorgious downtempo moodiness for several years (5-6 years). Here's the web address for the label.
