Yeah, I never got hold of it either :( I have the U.S. import 2x12" and it just had a wriggly sticker thing on the front. Apparently British customs caught hold of it (the blotter=L.S.D) and took it a bit seriously - they removed them all! greg 3030303030303030303030303030303030303030303030303030303030303030303030303030303 303 Greg Eden, Physics Department | g.l.eden@ncl.ac.uk 303 303 Herschel Building, University of Newcastle |303 Forever. The blotter paper can be found on the domestic (US) version of Sheet One (NovaMute) and on the original Plus 8 version, as far as I know... Matt

The news reports on Mtv about a Plastikman album being confiscated because the police thought it was an lsd blotter, prompted me to actually buy a copy and I really like it. It's very sparse, or spartan, or something. In some places just a bass line and acid squiggle, lovely! I particularly like Helikopter, but I thought the whole album was excellent. My question is what else by Richie Hawtin has this same feel to it? What other pseudonyms does he operate under? [fletcher]

Although I'm hardly a reputable source, the F.U.S.E. release to me looks like a compilation of tracks Hawtin had done over a period of time from about May 91 until March 93. That's quite a time period covered there. And since he's gotten into this Plastikman state of mind, I don't think you'll see F.U.S.E. tracks again. Well, maybe. Who knows? There are also another half dozen aliases or so he's used on the Probe label as well. Andrew -- (c) 1994, Andrew Bennett abennett@hyperreal.com

For any of you who were hoping to see the FUK crew in NYC this weekend, Richie Hawtin and crew will not be there. It seems that he was refused entry to the country for some reason, though its not exactly clear why. So far I've heard it was because he said he wasn't planning to work and after a search they found documents that proved otherwise and I've also heard that they were just plain suspicious over his gear and he was detained. Either way, Novamute cas confirmed he wont be appearing. :: Alan M. Parry :: fluid@hyperreal.com :: <finger me for PGP key> :: http://hyperreal.com/~fluid
