hi all I need to find out some information about something silly sounding. A contact of mine in the UK has told me that the british press has been talking of a rave to take place at Red Butte, Arizona "organized over the Internet by the KLF".. however, Cauty and Drummond say they are not involved in anything like this. What makes the thing even more confusing is that I'm also in a group called KLF (don't ask, and if you must, just http://ftp.luth.se/pub/sounds/kosmic/www/ ) and he was inclined to believe that perhaps we were doing it (needless to say, we're not). Does anyone have the slightest clue what's going on, or at least some of these articles from these magazines? I saw one post about this event on alt.rave, noticed that they claimed the KLF were playing, and complainted loudly. That's about it. Haven't seen any further discussion; it might be going on on alt.culture.zippies. The whole thing could very well be a hoax; they made a big deal about how there was really no one person organizing it, etc. I believe it was supposed to have been this weekend, so we'll all find out the truth of the matter soon enough. (If it really *was* the KLF -- hey, who knows? -- I'll be pretty steamed, since it's only a few hours drive from here.) -- Lazlo (Your Local KLF Goo-Roo)
