Subject:: Lifeforms=Dead?

I just got Lifeforms after nearly going crazy waiting for it and reading the mindblowing reviews posted here. Upon first listen, it's not very good. To me, it just never takes off. Just like SAW II, unfortunately. The whole album sounds like intros. Granted that technically the album is pretty impressive and very layered, as I was expecting, but it never KICKS! Accelerator was pure FATNESS! Tales of Ephedrina was an amazing blend of ambient landscapes and FAT beats: there were musical peaks and valleys. Contrasts of fast and slow, hard and soft. Lifeforms seems to never get really soft or really hard. Tales was a nice progression from Accelerator. Lifeforms is a step back. Peace. ||| oo < = ---->LET THE FLAME WAR BEGIN!!!! P.S. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ he means get really caned. If lifeforms is anything like the radio shows, then this is particularly good advice :) C.
