Hmm, Jules, I believe you are referring to Strange Cargo III, not the original. I saw a copy of the original (Stange Cargo) in New Orleans a while back, but I don't remember the details of the cover. The cover you described, tho, Jules, certainly belongs to Strange Cargo III. As for the first Strange Cargo record, I'm sure you'd find it to be worthwhile music, Teep, but don't expect IDM. You know, IMHO, SC III is only marginally IDM.. way cool, but very close to jazz and new age instrumentalism. Anyway, SC I is even farther away from IDM. I can remember playing cuts off that record when I used to DJ a local jazz show on Saturdays, so... guitar oriented narada-jazz stuff maybe? Still, if anyone out there has direct audio info on this record, please post it.. my memories are vague, and I'm curious about it too. 'some said quest was wack, but now is that the case?' brad.

SC - mish mash of images; a building on the far right, plate glass w/sun above it. To the left of the building, a ripple in water. To the left of the ripple, I have no clue. Looks like musical keys one would find on a brass instrument. SC2 - computerized desert scene. The bottom half is pale, and the upper half is a darker blue/red/black. Can his Bassomatic stuff be considered IDM? Both releases are top notch IMHO. In fact, most of Orbit's stuff is, including his, *gasp*, Madonna remixes. *shudder* Andrew -- (c) 1994, Andrew Bennett abennett@phoenix.aps.muohio.edu
