Speaking of Bjork, has anyone heard the single for Human Behaviour? And< is it good remix-wise? My personal favourite on Debut is 'More to Life then This (Live at the Milk Bar)' which is volatile in a very good way. kelch's raspberry preserves.

the remixes on the h.b. single are by speedy j and underworld. the speedy j version is very good - quite slow, though. the underworld dub mix is perfect for club play... if you've heard any previous underworld/darren emerson stuff, you've got a good idea what this is like - long trancy spiraling up to a huge climax. Jon Drukman jdrukman%dlsun87@oracle.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This calls for a very special blend of psychology and extreme violence.

I have had the Human Behaviour single for several months and have played the hell out of the Underworld Dub, my favorite on the disc...at five bucks it's practically risk-free. -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- Tamara Palmer trance@netcom.com Les beats sont hypnotiques et hallucinants -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- --

Debut is a good album, but try and find the cd/vinyl of the white label mixes, which has stuff by the Sabres, the Black Dog and Underworld. I think Nellee Hooper also does a couple of remixes with the Sabres on it. It's really good and quite unusual. The first remix of One Day in particular stands out IMHO, but the whole thing is pretty good. Tom

Oddly enough, I just picked up a copy (they had several) of the cd version at, of all places, Best Buys discount electronicsandwhoknowswhatallelse in LA. Quite an extensive selection of techno although all right in with the rock selections. And I think they are giving everything away to get new business. Prices averaged $3-5 less than Tower Virgin etc. Not exactly your full service cd shop but a lot of stuff that I havent seen anywhere for a while. marcus@rain.org

Best Buy (at least around here) generally has a very diverse selection and great prices. It's not guaranteed that you'll find what you're looking for, but I bet you'll find something you want for less than you'd expect... I suggest at least taking one look if there's a Best Buy in your area. -- Berry R. the best buy corporation also has a whole slew of agreements with music distributers that is slowly but surely shutting down the majority of local-owned record stores - yes, i did say records. can you find them at best buy? no, where will the DJ's and vinyl fiends go once the local LP shops are closed?? I think we should play a game. What up and coming electronic musician will produce Bjork's next album? Will she go with Christian Kleine? Wow, another non-topic on the IDM list, but I'm gonna join in anyway. Since she really doesn't seem to care about being commerical anymore, how about someone from Tigerbeat6? Belctum From Blechdom could be interesting. ugly and mean wrote:

Stefan Betka would be fine . He co-produced Barbara Morgenstern`s "Fjorden" and it sounded great. But i honestly think that Bjork went back to roots , her next record will be produced by several musicians . Some of them will be well known to public , others not maybe not. As a result we will recieve another great record , which i`ll immediately buy. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

well, i dont hate her, why? she is talanted and blablabla i admit, and i liked her acting in DID movie i dont care if she is liked by others, her stuff is far away from genuine plastic bull on the air, but i just dont like such things, i can listen to her tracks and not feel bad, but i am just not interested, she doesnt have it for me- what can i do? her music is not exciting. actually lately i kind of like it more than before, but not to the extend to put her album on and listen to it but i dont turn it off with disgust either))))) really, there is plenty of better stuff i can put on that does it for me no offence __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
