This is the first time I've ever openly called for contributors at
igloomag.com since its inception in late 2000. So, for those of
interested I've included a few outlines for contributors to
igloomag.com. As usual, we're always looking for creative writers who
are pro-active and willing to be a consistent team player. Email

Here are a few guidelines to follow regarding writing for Igloo
Magazine (www.igloomag.com):
WRITING FOR IGLOO MAGAZINE
-- Igloo Magazine covers 'independent electronic music;' mainstream
music is not an acceptable medium.
-- Maintain good sense of direction with articles; ie) concise,
accurate, informative, grammatically correct, spell-checked.
-- Igloo Magazine does not have "deadlines" for submissions, however,
timely article submissions are appreciated.
-- Igloo Magazine covers all ranges of the "electronic" music scene.
-- Feel free to suggest article ideas for any section at Igloo
(Features, Reviews, Profiles etc.)
-- Periodic 'For Review' lists will be emailed to all contributors to
select from.
-- Igloo will periodically send random releases (physical/digital)
direct to your mailing address for possible coverage.
-- You are not obligated to review any unsolicited packages that are
sent directly to your address.
-- Igloo Magazine is not responsible for any lost packages from HQ or abroad.
-- Keep an open-mind and be resourceful in finding new material to
cover in our pages.
-- Igloo Magazine is in your hands; your decisions to choose certain
pieces of music to cover is at your own discretion.
LOGISTICS
-- Respond to this email with full contact info: author/credit name,
email contact, mailing address.
-- Published articles are non-paid.
-- Send plain text (no attachments) in the body of your email directed
to editor@igloomag.com.
-- Include appropriate subject header; ie) (REVIEWS) Autechre
'Untilted' (Warp, CD)
-- Include artist, label, format, title of release and any/all website
URL's to label(s)/artist(s) if possible.
-- Include cover-art (200x200pixels minimum) if possible, or link to cover-art.
-- After receipt of first article submission, you will be added to the
Igloo contributors email-list.
-- After receipt of first article submission, you will be added to the
Contacts section at www.igloomag.com.
-- After receipt of first article submission, you will receive an
@igloomag.com email account; ie) author@igloomag.com.
-- Use an 'Apostrophe' for album titles and "Quotation" for track
titles; ie) Autechre's 'Untilted' features "Fermium."
-- Use a comma preceding the closure of quotations; ie) "Fermium," the
sixth track on 'Untilted' is...
