OK. you asked for it! here's what was
played, though i wasn't djing it, it was
on where i happened to be and out of
my control.
friday dec 31 6PM to midnight "top
100 songs of 1999" on a commercial
pop station. i wasn't paying that much
attention, but there was yer basic shania
twain, brtittney spears et al and backstreet
boys were #1. considering they sold
6.9 copies of their new album in 1999,
that's no shocker (yes, I *am* full of useless information :)).
saturday jan 1 12 midnight to 3AM
at a friend's party, which was quite sedate.
was exhausted and fighting to stay awake.
i believe the music played was cds from
johnny favorite and the swing orchestra
(a local band from halifax) and something
from the eurythmics, maybe something
else. in the past i've been Mr. Take-Over-
The-Host's-Stereo-System at parties, but
i've reformed myself. tv was switched
between the various news channels that
were fireworks-focused.
3AM cabbed it home to bed.
8AM to 4pm today. see the first entry,
heard a different part of the chart, still
didn't pay much attention. should
have brought some cds to listen to,
but was too tired to think about it
when i stumbled out of bed, showered,
and ran to work on time. andrew duke :)
ps i truly hope others had more exciting
musics in their lives last night/this mornin'.
