This is the most ignorant and condescending thing I've ever heard anyone say. You think that a community based on -- let's be realistic, now -- pirating people's music, is in the *right* because they decided that a particular musician's music should be freely available when that musician himself expressly asked for his stuff to not be uploaded? Adam's music is something very personal to him, and is something truly special to him and the people who have purchased his albums. to have a bunch of ignorant, self-serving, douche monkey fucks just *decide* to give his music away for free right in front of his face... it's disgusting. To what advantage has it been for him now? Now a re-release of a past limited run album, which might have made him some extra cash will likely not, as a simple torrent search will bring it up. a BRAND NEW FUCKING ALBUM which has NOT EVEN BEEN RELEASED is now freely available without his choosing. No record label is going to want to pick that up now, it's done. christ. And then you have the miniscule balls it takes to call him a "silly boy"? Are you fucking kidding me? what you dont seem to get is that adam raisbeck didnt much mind his OTHER albums, you know, that have been, you know, released, being put around - he hoped that they would go out in the hgihest possible quality, but what his gripe was was with a LEAKED, UNRELEASED, ALBUM, do you comprehend this? he compield an album, gave it out to a few friends, it was supposed to come out, it was never released, and he then saw it being spread on waffles or whatcd, its all the same to me. he had a gripe about his UNRELEASED ALBUM being leaked. not about his stuff... yeah.. altho personally i dont think theres any point in giving out unreleased albums that might be released "eventually", to mates, i try to give mp3s of albums that ARE coming out, but adam chose to give it out to his friends, and unfortunately some or more than one of them leaked it and then he had a problem with an UNRELEASED album just being leaked everywhere. unfortunately, his actions have caused it to become free leech and whatever, so its been counterproductive, but he IS entitled to his RIGHT to not want unreleased albums to just be leaked all over the place. he tried to do some steps to keep it from happening, but the response was to just start sharing it like wildfire, from whoever pulls the levers and strings in any of these w/w services. 2008/10/21 Zombiefly <zombiefly@gmail.com>
