Hey IDMers, We're making a film about people living in techno and need pictures of raves from the 1990s! See below. We need them urgently, like today if possible. djd ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: amyleegrill <amyleegrill@gmail.com> Date: Mon, Jul 7, 2008 at 10:44 PM Subject: Who has photos of 90s Raves that they'd like to share for a music doc? To Whom It May Concern, I'm directing a music doc (speaking in code). Some of you (those of you i know :)) may have seen this recent press that gives a little background on the project ( http://www.beatportal.com/feed/item/speaking-in-code-electronic-musics-most-important-documentary/ ) I'm looking for a few excellent photos of 90s raves - I'm talking huge, big lights, grand looking photos - preferably from the midwest, detroit photos of warehouse parties would be ideal. But NY and SF or anywhere as long as its America and you can tell it is a large scale party. Even though this film is character driven and about the now, I decided it best to give a little more context in the open - thus the last minute request - my LAST edit for the film is this coming weekend. Any help is so appreciated! Any photos selected would get screen credit, and I would need you to sign a materials release. This is a low budget DIY indie doc - I don't have a budget to license photos. (If I did, that would be exciting, but alas I don't). All I can offer are thanks, loads of good vibes and screen credit. Please send me a digital preview file(s) to amy@squar3.com<amy%40squar3.com>and we can go from there! Please forward liberally to friends who may have pictures that would work for this. thanks, amy p.s. new trailer (finally) is in the works - just saw the rough cut - should have something up on our soon to be launched site speakingincode.com -- http://www.squar3.com | http://www.myspace.com/dayvidday | http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=535050515 | http://www.flickr.com/photos/dayvidday/ | http://www.last.fm/user/dayvidday/| http://dayvidday.imeem.com/ | http://www.linkedin.com/in/dayvidday | AOLIM: DavidDayDjd | http://www.weeklydig.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
