Crunch time! If you've been sitting on submitting something, or wanna jump
in on this...then you've got about 5 days! Belladonna Records is happy to
announce our first physical release and is currently accepting submissions.
This album will be heavily promoted and distributed world wide. We are
looking for about 2-3 more tracks to round things out...info as follows:
*Title:* Belladonna Summer Compilation
*Theme:* Summer
*Requirements:*
Electronic based music with an organic overtone. Genres preferred are
downtempo, hip hop, idm, dub, trip hop, indie, minimal techno, house,
breaks... however, all submissions will be happily reviewed with top
considerations going to current BD artists.
*Guidelines:*
Tracks should rely on more musically created statements and less on samples.
The heart of this project is bringing a human touch using prominent elements
such as musical instruments, naturistic sounds, field recordings, vocals,
etc. to focus on texture and mood.
Tracks should also invoke a sensation of summer with delicious swirls of
nostalgia. This could be the invigorating, refreshing sunshine and warm
breezes. The serene, dreamy, magical ambiance of a starry night. The
innocence and beauty of watching the fluffy clouds roll by and feeling the
dewy grass beneath your feet. The passion and intensity of a mid-day
thunderstorm. You decide!
*Details:*
Chosen artists are asked to contribute a $25 submission fee to help cover
production costs. In return you will receive that warm, fuzzy feeling from
supporting the start-up of an ambitious label, 10 free copies, and priceless
exposure on a comp that will feature high quality artwork and be heavily
promoted and distributed worldwide and digitally.
You will retain all rights to all your songs/music/lyrics. No cover songs,
original material only.
Closing date for submissions is *MAY 1ST, 2006*. Expected release date is
early July. A CD Release party will follow in Madison, WI.
