Most of you already know of the sad and recent passing of Jay from Coredump. As previously mentioned, his wife Amanda is trying to tie up the loose ends left from the number of sale lists Jay posted to both idm_mart and idm-l through the month of March. Some of you may not want to bother her and some of you may not want to take the records out of respect for Jay - and both sentiments are commendable indeed. BUT, I would suggest that if this is the case, you take the time to drop Amanda an email (amanda@33-rpm.net) and let her know this if you have paid for records you have not received. I'm sure she has LOT on her plate right now, but I am also sure she wants to honor Jay's memory in due course by finishing up what is yet unfinished...I suspect it would help her achieve some sense of closure if she knew what was what with respect to these transactions. Additionally, we all deal with grief in our own respective ways; it may well not be a bad thing to have some work in which she could immerse herself - I don't know. I DO know that I have been in contact with her and she mentioned that hardly anyone has responded to the posts on idm_mart and idm- thus far AND that she intends to keep trying to find out what is what with sold/undelivered records, which says to me that it would be a help to her if she got some responses or, perhaps, someone might take it upon themselves to let anyone know who might have had unfinished dealings with Jay over the past month about this. To further complicate the mix, Amanda was not on Jay's Payapal account. Those of you who have dealt with Paypal problems understand how difficult they can be. On top of that, Jay's PC crashed and she (at least temporarily) cannot access his records via their network. Hopefully this will be resolved soon. In the meantime, please drop her a line and include any Paypal e-receipts plus anything else you can to validate what you bought. This last part is important. Not to suggest anyone would take advantage at a time like this - but, there are less than scrupulous people out there. That last bit comes from me, not Amanda. Anyway, if anyone can help pass this along *selectively* to those who may have had dealings with Jay last month, it would be appreciated and one less things for Amanda to worry about. Thanks again.
