it is important to note that IDM is, in many cases it seems, a more general "default" title for electronic music that has some semblance of brain behind it... otto von schirach... ulrich schnauss... these two artists (to name a quick pair) have absolutely nothing in common... yet both are IDM. the term is as meaningful as "rock"
