Hola, I've just moved (as of Friday) to Chicago, and from being on these lists for several years, I seem to recall there's a good concentration of IDM peoples in this city. Right now I'm just looking on info for shows, though in the future I'd be looking for some interesting artists to work with, collaborate with. Hit me up off-list and such, I'd appreciate any info on upcoming shows or events and the like in the city. I know Four Tet is coming up, but it would be cool to see some local acts. Much thanks, forel elitist fuck --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Its good, the quality of the stream is poor but you can hear it.. its folk-tronica, the 1st track has hints of geogaddi in the background.. i much prefer the bleep released 1st track.. classic boc, but more layered, and new and old at the same time. I too can't wait though :) I am not going to bother looking at fakes, don't wanna ruin the day when it finally drops. this is sort of what i was dreaming this stage was going to sound like as they sort of twist the knobs with less super-painstaking-precision, i mean... they sound a little more like a 'band', which is an obvious desciptor to use here with the guitar inclusion, but i more mean with the freedom(...meaning freedomrock or course)... is this long guitar with deep growl part of their track? that would be neato, oops guess not.. Sun O))). i'm assuming they're going to tour this album, right? too hopeful? warp site has no news of such..

I've had a promo of the album for a couple weeks, and while there are hints of geogaddi, the new album is over all more cohesive and warmer than that album by far. they even have an autechre moment or two of broken glitch. however, the synth tones are deep and long, and the beats are the standard BoC trip hop fare, except they're more ghostly and less pronouced than say on Music has the right... i think most people that were turned off by geogaddi (and who wasn't ;) will have a renewed sense of faith in BoC by the Campfire Headphase. They're not breaking new ground, but the path they're taken has gotten more mature, and more blissful none the less. - xenlab On 9/7/05, Junior Sanchez <rendrd_tchocky@msn.com> wrote:
