Damn. Im really happy not to live in the states. This looks more like behavior in a Police- or Militarystate than in a democracy, which USA is so proud of. Sorry, but from the perspective of an european (I live in Germany) this is so typical for the USA. The only difference between what we see and hear is that this didnt happen outside of the country (in some terrorist state Bush is so keen to destroy). Im aware of the fact that most people over there are peaceful, but if you look from an outside perspective at a country that didnt have no decate without making war somewhere, it is not very surprizing that such things happen inside too. Im really sorry for everyone beaten up and being traumatized. I've been around the world and seen lots of wonderful places to live but, I still love my country, it's a shame to see so many of it's citizens allowing this to go on without even the slightest protest. Hey! What are you trying to say about Sheep? They are really quite intelligent animals. I should know, I'm from New Zealand, the Only True nation of Sheep. We didn't go to Iraq, our Prime Minister, Helen Clark slagged off Bush (heresy - and a woman!) And we dare to be nuclear free - refusing entry to _all_ US Navy vessels (because they have a policy to neither confirm or deny that there is nuclear power/weapons on-board). We really piss the US government off. And we are the nation of Sheep... What does that make the US? Anyway, we should really be talking about something important, like music. this is important. if our governments are going to treat raves this way, then who's to stop them tagging idm and microsound festivals too? where do you draw the line? yes, I can see where some people can justify busting raves. but once you've entered that territory, just how much of a stretch is it to our subculture? we cannot afford to let our governments associate drugs and violence with electronic music. and we must make it clear that we will not stand for infringements of our rights in any such case. ok ok.... My friends and I have seriously entertained thoughts of moving there for good. However, as Cory stated this is an important problem facing the electronic music scene in general, in many places around the world that should not be tolerated.......so with that back to the music.
