The project toured last year but was a solo James Plotkin armed with laptop,

v.snares did a split/remix 7" with them. Atom/PhantomSmasher is James
Plotkin, DJ Speedranch and Dave Witte. So, it makes sense that your
description is as such. Dave Witte being the most prominent grind
drummer, DJ Speedranch being a prominent drill n bass head and James
Plotkin just being a dude that makes it fucked up and good. The 7"
and the 2 cds were released by Hydrahead/2XHNI (label of Isis'). I
like this project quite a bit.
