No matter what genre of music you play, you'll get a few non-believers heckling you. Don't let 'em get to ya. One of the unfortunate aspects of "feedback" is that the minority of people with negative opinions are much, much more likely to contact you than the larger group of silent supporters. meh, Luis np: M.I.A., Gramm, Mouse on Mars (Idiology) On Apr 8, 2005, at 2:57 AM, karl poechlauer wrote:

i found i got few calls on the radio show and they fit into 3 categories: 60% kids calling in pop music requests that showed a) they weren't listened to what i was playing and b) they had heard the # to call for requests and went for it blindly 35% guys (always men) calling in and making what they thought was a funny comment about the music (like above) along the lines of "your record's skipping, buddy" or "i think my radio is broken" or "i think the station is off the air or the transmitter is broken" and 5% people calling in great requests that i always (murphy's law, i guess) didn't have on me that week. andrew -- Andrew Duke scoring/sound design/source http://andrew-duke.com Cognition Audioworks label [Andrew Duke, Foal, Clinker, Granny'Ark] http://cognitionaudioworks.com -- No virus found in this outgoing message. I run an "IDM" webcast and Drukqs is one of the few albums that consistently receives the feedback of "oh god please no more Aphex Twin". I don't know what it is about that album (personally I adore it) but anytime a track comes on from that release people tune out in droves. So there you have it, even on an IDM station IDM isn't all that popular. In fact, I've had to remove most of the more harsh or frantic IDM because people just can't take it.
