anyone hear this new toytonic comp.? just bought it, listened to it once, and i liked what i heard. it's got nice, lush, ambient tracks, yr standard melodic idm, and even ends w/ a nice d & b track from someone named marvin kirk. i haven't heard of alot of people on this comp., but i'm glad i eventually did. solid comp! some highlight tracks for me- tracks by phase mojo, ochre, and koordinate of wonder. [i've never heard of any of those guys] best track that i enjoyed most must've been cultek's track "minds beyond". so good. what can anyone tell me about this cultek? i've got the 12" on touchin' bass, and that's got to be some of the best dark electro i've heard in a looooooong time...[it seems as though the cultek track on 'everything is green' uses lots of the same sounds as on cultek's touchin bass 12", but that doesn't bother me much. it's excellent!!! holla. basura! *****cheap plug for my music for those who are on "myspace"--> http://www.myspace.com/trashy --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? [i've never heard of any of those guys] i think you'll find that a lot of the 'unknown' artists are different combinations of a few people connected to the label. > best track that i enjoyed most must've been cultek's track "minds beyond". so good. my favourite track too, i'll easily play it 5 times in a row ;) overall it's a very good comp with some brilliant tracks. the usual toytronic criticism is that a lot of the releases seem to use a similar pallette, but when it works it works excellently.
