FUNKSTÖRUNG, DISCONNECTED ACOUSTICS TOUR 2004, ATLANTA, GA, USA
June, 16-17, 2004
Riding a tide of essential remixes for everyone from Bjork to the
Wu-Tang Clan, as well as pioneering the glitch-hop sound recently
popularized by the likes of Prefuse 73 and Dabrye, Funkstörung
triumphantly return to the US with their first proper Southeast Atlanta
date ever. Neither pop nor hip-hop, blues nor soul are safe from the
duo's metallic grasp as their signature sound evolves and new
directions are explored.
Funkstörung are on the road and on their way to Atlanta, GA! There are
three separate appearances scheduled for their trip to Atlanta
including an in-store performance, radio interview and finally the long
anticipated live performance. Be sure to catch each appearance so you
may live the complete experience. Meet the band, hear a sampling of
their laptop set, and learn a little more about the members as they
head towards the FULL LIVE PERFORMANCE of the Disconnected Acoustics
Tour 2004 at EYEDRUM featuring singer/songwriter Enik from Wonder
Records and Andreas Kellner playing bass guitar. Their live set will
be no less than 90 minutes as they blow through the ATL for their first
ever appearance in the city.

Funkstörung will perform a special Laptop DJ set, featuring beats
mostly from earlier recordings. This set is different than their FULL
live acoustic performance and shouldn't be missed. An enticing tease
leading up to Thursday's big event.

Student run radio station out of Georgia State University, largest
broadcast power of any college radio in the southeast
Hear Funkstörung relate their experiences throughout their careers in a
live radio interview and how it has finally brought them to the US and
the the capitol of the south, Atlanta, GA. I am sure we will hear
addition music from the maestros, each sound leaving even the most
discriminating listener's palate hungry with anticipation of the live
event to take place later that evening.
4 tickets and 2 copies of their newest release, 'Disconnected', will be

Concert Tour 2004 for all dissenters." A live performance for no less

Also appearing:
INCEPTDATE (ATLANTA) performs his most up-tempo set to date, featuring
Pat Foley of the Flakes and DJ Decibaka. In addition, special guest
Zano will freestyle it with INCEPTDATE, a rocking set of explosive
lyrics and educated grins, as the night leads to the headlining
performance.
Afrikan Sciences opens the show providing MC Zano, an educated and
highly intelligent MC who has much to say, with 30 mins of original
beats for his and your lyrical pleasure.
Andres and Jeff Myers from Jazz Space+Bass will maintain control of all
the in-betweens with their specialized DJ skills and House knowledge.
Never been to a Jazz Space+Bass party? Get a taste of what some of the
best After Party People have to offer as electrohouse, downtempo,
trip-hop and acid jazz fills the room and carries you towards the
highly anticipated event of the evening.
