yeah, it blows. (cue applause) no, seriously, not that good - i think it's on fuzzy box, which is a warning in and of itself; fuzzybox being the "electronic" sister label of darla (wuss rock paradise), so most of the artists seem to be remedial wuss rockers trying to flip the script and go electronic. consequently, most of it sounds like the half-assed noodling of rock kids who just got their GrooveBox and can't wait to show their moms/the world how good they are at ambientojunglistidm wank. if you're looking to blow some cash, buy the venetian snares CD - it's brilliant, like old squarepusher (when his records were worth buying, when he was on spymania) having a bugger-baby with panacea (when his records were worth buying, when he was fat and ugly) or perhaps it's more like some weird canadian guy with lots of time to scatterplot his breakbeats with an intensity so nerdish it's almost psychotic. or if you're one of those chirpy little IDM-listenin' MAMA'S BOYS who needs TWEE LITTLE MELODIES all over everything, you could buy something by Frederik Schikowski, who, most of this list be damned, is the best thing going in that department. -b. [ http://listen.to/treblequake ] <- radio "...as far as i'm concerned, any label that's bigger than one guy sitting in an apartment with a couple cartons of records on the floor is, essentially, a corporate satan anyway." - norb ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

be changed, if the likes of the people above continue to support it? Fugk Nawh! Its just all pound, with no weight!=20 So can you name any artists you have heard that you dont like? Have = you actually bothered to check out any of the artists I have mentioned = or are you just quoting ill informed cliches! Seems like most unconscious listeners like this style/brand of techno. Of course different things make different people move differently, its a sad state of affairs to me........... So AFX & Mike Paradinas.... two people who seem to be quite highly = respected on the list.... now unconcious listeners? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I am searching my previous response for one, Nope didnt C 1.... U didnt either, ya just hatin against that flavor!(Translated in "proper" English for your sake, 'sounds like your jealous of a way that I type off the top of my head via email'.......) The perception that all Hardcore Techno is "just all pound, with no weight! " is a bit of a cliché really. So I ask again.... Have you actually heard any of the artists I mentioned? >>So AFX & Mike Paradinas.... two people who seem to be quite highly = respected on the list.... now unconscious listeners? Afx aint shit and Paradinas I cant say, one thing is for sure, I hear the brothers rocking Basic Channel and Kraftwerk but I dont hear em rock'n fex and Paradinas music, nor that bang'n-hardcore that U speak of.. Who are "the brothers"? I've no doubt that Kraftwerk still gets spun by people but things have evolved a little since the 70's and there is a lot of great music out there being written currently by people. These people were also inspired by the likes of Kraftwerk and have taken it to their own extremes. Most of the people who are making some of the music I speak of are incredibly discerning listeners of dance music, and have been for nearly a decade.... its not just children making that bang'n-hardcore that I speak of. Its simple, if your shit is good in your community and not in ours, it aint shit....and likewise for our music.....is your logic that elastic & universal....................:) Surely good music speaks for itself whatever style or genre it is. or is your logic not that elastic & universal?

I don't know how long you've been on the Internet, but you should have noticed by now that it is really bad manners to quote a private email in a public list/forum without asking permission first. Usually there is nothing very private or anything to hide, but if someone makes a comment direct to you it's just polite to ask before you report it to the rest of the world. Hi! This is the ezmlm program. I'm managing the idm@hyperreal.org mailing list. I'm working for my owner, who can be reached at idm-owner@hyperreal.org. This is a generic help message. The message I received wasn't sent to any of my command addresses. --- Administrative commands for the idm list --- I can handle administrative requests automatically. Please do not send them to the list address! Instead, send your message to the correct command address: To subscribe to the list, send a message to: <idm-subscribe@hyperreal.org> To remove your address from the list, send a message to: <idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org> Send mail to the following for info and FAQ for this list: <idm-info@hyperreal.org> <idm-faq@hyperreal.org> Similar addresses exist for the digest list: <idm-digest-subscribe@hyperreal.org> <idm-digest-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org> To get messages 123 through 145 (a maximum of 100 per request), mail: <idm-get.123_145@hyperreal.org> To get an index with subject and author for messages 123-456 , mail: <idm-index.123_456@hyperreal.org> They are always returned as sets of 100, max 2000 per request, so you'll actually get 100-499. To receive all messages with the same subject as message 12345, send an empty message to: <idm-thread.12345@hyperreal.org> The messages do not really need to be empty, but I will ignore their content. Only the ADDRESS you send to is important. You can start a subscription for an alternate address, for example "john@host.domain", just add a hyphen and your address (with '=' instead of '@') after the command word: <idm-subscribe-john=host.domain@hyperreal.org> To stop subscription for this address, mail: <idm-unsubscribe-john=host.domain@hyperreal.org> In both cases, I'll send a confirmation message to that address. When you receive it, simply reply to it to complete your subscription. If despite following these instructions, you do not get the desired results, please contact my owner at idm-owner@hyperreal.org. Please be patient, my owner is a lot slower than I am ;-) --- Enclosed is a copy of the request I received.
