Hello
Several releases from Gridlock's N5md label have been added to the Ad

the brand new live CD by Proem as well as the excellent "MD8" compilation.
PROEM - Live MD (CD) - CD (N5md)
V/A - MD8 - CD (N5md)
QUENCH - Punctuated - CD (n5mD)
SPARK - The robotic girl next door - CD (N5md)
PORTLAND - Cargynes - 7" (N5md)
ML - Everyone looks like somebody else - CD (n5mD)
Descriptions below.
PROEM - Live MD (CD) - CD (N5md)
Live CD (yes, it is on CD) by the great Proem. As far as I know, all new
tracks or new versions of old tracks for this very well live set which
shows a more laid back, gritty but still highly melodic and fluid aspect of
this essential name of the american IDM scene. Not to be missed.
V/A - MD8 - CD (N5md)
Compilation (on CD) presenting new tracks by 14 bands from the n5MD family.
Flowing, poetic and crystal clear electronic by both confirmed names
(Gridlock, Quench, Spark, Proem, ML...) or very promising younger acts
(Portland, Vesna, Rivel...). A very beautiful compilation which deserves a
lot of attention and praise. Addictive and charming.
QUENCH - Punctuated - CD (n5mD)
Re-release on CD of Quench's latest album. Excellent IDM by this side
project of Funckarma. Balanced, melodic, and sometimes quite beaty, here is
an album which is a must-buy for fans of Proem, Lusine ICL, Dryft & co.
Very recommended.
SPARK - The robotic girl next door - CD (N5md)
Very nice album of melodic and emotional IDM, released on Gridlock's N5md
label. Cristal clear production and very subtle compositions for an
accessible, flowing and beautiful CD. Recommended.
PORTLAND - Cargynes - 7" (N5md)
Very nice clear 7" from this newcomer on N5md (Gridlock's label). One the
one side, flowing electronica in the vein of Proem and, on the other side,
echoed electronic melodies and beats with a slightly dark edge. Very
charming and well done.
ML - Everyone looks like somebody else - CD (n5mD)
Latest CD album to dates for the knobtwisters known as ML (and formerly as
Thine Eyes). Tweaked, minimal and yet catchy and beautiful electronica with
a sharp edge. In my opinion their most accessible and mature work. Very nice.
Best regards,
Nicolas
