Put out... two albums now? Maybe more? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

More likeley 'The Books', of The Lemon of Pink and Thought for Food. Was anyone else a bit dissapointed with their 2nd release? I liked the addition of the vocals but the music wasn't as strong as their first one. Still pretty good all the same. ...skism

I don't know that I'd say that I was disappointed, but I know that I wasn't as completely overwhelmed as I was by Thought For Food. The Lemon Of Pink is really nice, and has some great tracks, but for me, at least, Thought For Food was so different and so completely unexpected that it just totally blew me away. It's probably one of my favorite albums ever. I think that if The Lemon Of Pink had come out first, I would probably have been blown away by that, because it's still pretty different from most other stuff out there. But I think it's hard to make two perfect, earth-shattering albums in a row, and that was the case here. Later, Alan Quoting skism <cazeone@ramdis.com>:

the tomlab site has no mention of the books under "touring", but it does have this: "The Books played their first live show on Oct 17 in the Art Institute of Chicago and reports say that their show has been driving the people out of their seats and left a huge huge impression. Be patient for more selected live appearances"
