There are a lot of people in Seattle doing fine work, like: Jeff Samuel (Trapez/Poker Flat) David Farell (Module/Locate/Southerning) Sean Horton (Nordic Soul) Randy Jones (Orac www.orac.vu) Steven Ford (aliases Bobby Karaete, Bruno Pronsato on Orac) Electric Birds (Mille Plateaux/Deluxe) Kris Moon Terso myself (Codebase/Force Inc./Swayzak Recs) ... and the list goes on. You can find us at places like Aristocrats on Thursdays, Contour on Fridays, Alibi Room for Robo.trash, Chop Suey, etc. --- Tom Butcher --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

if you mean composer and performers of glitch/idm in seattle, check out Bobby Karate, as well as The Outfit. i think they are both excellent. there is Electric Birds as well, who i like some stuff from very much and other stuff not at all. if you are into experimental music, Climax Golden Twins is quite good most of the time (Jeffery is one of two band members, and he is owner of the excellent music store Wall of Sound). My last recommendation would be Matt Shoemaker, who does excellent deep and intense soundscapes using computer processed field recordings. These last two groups are not idm/glitch, but imo they are very much worth checking out, especially since they are local. All groups except The Outfit have one or more cds out on various labels. Do a web search if you are interested. Hope that helps! -Thad Biggerstaff ===== Thad Biggerstaff ~ReSource~ daht73@yahoo.com "Not to forget, I 'museumize' myself; so that then I pay myself a visit and find me again in all the relics, to hand down memories from one to the other, like a genealogical tree, as if it were morning!" - Massimo Toniutti __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
