i've gone off Adam Beyer quite a bit since my early drumcodes buying
days...however, techno for me is the one true love that will never die.
perenially unfshionable to all but a hardcore few, and misunderstood by many
(especially those who like the other electronic music i do), at its best it
has a complexity and power that are equal to anything in the idm or
experimental electronic scenes.
the perfect encapsulation of techno for me at the moment is Surgeon's "Death
Before Surrender" from the British Murder Boys Ep, which covers more in 8
minutes than most artists do in a lifetime. His "Force and Form" album is
unsurpassable.
