A while ago I was a member of this list and found that, between work and school, I was often not checking my mail for several days and would end up with quite a few emails backed up. Eventually I unsubscribed as this became too much trouble. Now I am in a more stable position and just rejoined the list. I am finding that there aren't nearly the number of emails I seem to remember getting a while back. Did something happen? Just seems odd. Anyone who has been on here long term notice this, os is it just me? Thanks. Sorry for the not-so-interesting email. Brandon __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo! It's not just you. But, eh, whatchagonnado? i would think that since it's summer ( in the Northern hemisphere at least ) that the majority of this list are off doing summer-ish things. This is based on the presumption that most of the idm list are high school and college students. I agree with this although things like this are always speculative, for all I know there's some truly amazing stuff released this year I've just missed, but last year was really good with Venetian Snares hitting full stride, Pita killing it, and Dino Felipe really mixing it all up. Both left unique signatures in a genre increasingly filled with forgery. Something will come along, maybe the Kristuit Salu album for Warp will turn out to out-live already high expectations. Oh shit hold on one album this year so far is amazing, Florian Hecker's new one for mego: http://www.mego.at/mego064.html peace, a On Sunday, June 29, 2003, at 10:38 PM, Media Spincycle = Fiction wrote:

Oh , I know...I was speaking in unashamed generalities. If a -real- poll were taken ( not one where the same 12 people respond ), I'd say we're mainly American males from 18-28, in college. With MANY exceptions, of course, Peter, one of the old guys
