sorry mate, but nothing you've said has any meaning to the issue of people not paying for their music... You can throw the complicated "free airwaves, copyrighted pants pants" all day it is doesn't mean shit really. Your sounding as bad as that "Mira Calix and Warp are sexist 'cause when I look at her I get a tickle in my shorts" guy.

Well, if you don't care about the basis on which laws are created, that's your business, slave. If you can't see how it's not self-evident that ownership of a musical work extends from the immaterial idea to its physical representation, you're just not thinking very hard. The legitimacy of the present copyright structure is integral to the issue of whether it's okay to download music for free or not. Sorry to tax your brain. -----Original Message----- From: John Reading [mailto:john.reading@us.didata.com] Sent: Wednesday, March 12, 2003 1:53 PM To: idm@hyperreal.org Subject: RE: [idm] Indie Ethics sorry mate, but nothing you've said has any meaning to the issue of people not paying for their music... if mp3's werent being downloaded for free, would you be discussing your right to hear an artists music on your terms ? it really isnt taxing at all to see your issue, its just a really bad argument. and as far thinking very hard i wonder how hard it was for you to think up "bag of dicks" im going to assume pixel that youre not an artist signed to a label, nor do you run a label. if i am right then really you are speaking purely on speculation and hypotheticals that have no relevance. if i am wrong and you are signed to a label or run one yourself, then i would like to see it from your perspective, otherwise thanks for the entertainment. someone suggested earlier about mocking in silence..........im gonna take that advice. on to something else. the new Pita: Early Works CDR on Alku is a little disappointing on first listen. maybe it'll grow on me Boulder dDash - Alien Folk Trash isnt folky at all. nice distorted pop numbers. good stuff pixilated wrote:
