just to clear up what might be a bit confusing to some
(it was to me)... the squarepusher bit has nothing to do
with the marimba music.... so 'gamalan treatments' might
simply be a description of some track of his off some
readily available cd? the only things i can think of are
the last track on the red hot cock single and the richard
thomas thing, though they're not exactly gamalan are they?
then again she apologised to anyone who tuned in especially
for the pusher so maybe it was something special? i've no idea...
it's a good show all the same.. last night featured a
smattering of folk, blues, gospel (rev. gary davis kicks ass),
african chanty precussion music of some sort, fennesz,
jim o'rourke and a really cool 20min raga for dulcimer and tabla...
