Man, it's depressing that there's almost no good distibutor out there... Maybe that just means that there is too much product out there. You are far from being the only one to which they owe money too. I feel lucky in that only 20% or less of my sales go through them and have other distributors who pay on time and don't jack me around. I've even tried contacting Joel through his personal e-mail and that account appears to be bouncing as well. I would normally not discuss dirty laundry in public, but this appears to be pretty large problem. I've already had this discussion in private with some people who shall remain nameless and it appears as though they aren't responding to phone calls either. If anyone has a direct way of getting in touch with the oxymoronic Safe Distribution let me know. i figured this was going to happen, when i was told that "the check was in the mail". i heard that joel broke his hand, and he was out of commission for a bit. that doesn't excuse the fact that he owes us money though. asshole.

Man, it's depressing that there's almost no good distibutor out there... Maybe that just means that there is too much product out there. I have to say that Forced Exposure are really honest. Up to now I have always been paid, and I know of a lot of labels who are pleased too. I can't believe how much money distributors owe me and it can't even compare to the amounts that some people I know are owed... Ugh. yes we all know it takes time for a distro to pay labels and that some of them are crooks. one thing one has to make sure is to get a proper agreement before working with a new distro you don't know. also one should keep in mind that stores aren't that honest and paying distros on time so it doesn't make things easy for a distro to pay us back on time when they haven't been paid yet... Regarding Safety In Numbers I managed to get some of my sales paid, after sending tons of e-mails, they still have a lot of records to return my way and I get no reply. I wouldn't recommend them. have a nice day philippe | 0000 \\\\.. \\\\ __ http://www.bip-hop.com _---| 0000 \\\\..\\\\ ==> contemporary electronica challenging the ears and the mind

Yea, Forced Exposure is definitely the best one out there that I know of... One thing that helps them is that they seem to be much more discriminating about what they pick up.

I don't mind when they take a lot of time- I mind when they are crooks. -- :: atomly :: [ atomly@atomly.com : www.atomly.com ... For the record, my experience with Forced Exposure went just fine, and I intend to work with them again in the future if they wish to as well. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
