after over a year of detours through various monikers chris jeely
returns to his well known Accelera Deck project (after extremely wise
counsel from ......well you know who you are ;- ) with a "taster" CDR
titled Flood, Fold, and Flare on for god's sake, (available through
s://kimo, scarcelight.com) The new material resides comfortably between
mego's binary opposition, and my bloody valentines blistering
sensuality. 'FF&F' is a document containing violent flashes of burned
out guitar that is strangled and deconstructed beyond recognition.
Before years end Skylab Operations will release (21:15) Fire Maps, a
split CD between Slinger and Accelera Deck as part of their 'future of
sound' series. Slinger (who is Brad Davis and Chris Jeely in
collaboration) contribute a devastating track built on Brad's cyclical
drum playing, which is manipulated in real-time by Chris. The music is
explosive, dynamic, invoking the very moment of creation where dust and
gas particles within a nebula spin faster and faster, while gravity
forces a slow collapse inward. Fire Maps is a blueprint for how to
destroy a 1967 Jazzmaster. Meanwhile, I Would Close My Eyes But All I
See Is The Massacre and Makeshift Stars For Railway Cars ep (by Your
Favorite Horse) are available from Piehead Records and Sonic Syrup.
