SEASONS is a magical work for the 21st century that was painted/recorded in
each corresponding season over the course of 2001-2002 by Russian born composer
Ivan Pavlov AKA COH & his wife Nadja. Summer starts it all off with an
incendiary violin piece performed by guest violinist Janesse Stewart that
defies the meaning of beautifully suspended tones. The delicate piano keyed
piece of Autumn (a tribute to Giacinto Scelsi) includes a subtle field
recording by COIL member Peter 'Sleazy' Christopherson. Winter finds us warmed
by the most mesmerizing drone, sounding as rich as a well blown brass
instrument, with deep haunting echoes of a dissonant cello, repetitive and
ritualistic. To top it all off, spring is a mind-shattering rave-up dedication
to both Mars (The God Of Spring and The God of War) and extreme art terrorist
Russell Haswell. Two slabs of Audiophile 180g vinyl in a gorgeous gatefold with
