It must have been "A huge evergrowing..." by the Orb back in 1990 or 1991. That together with what Andrew Weatherall was doing. Man, it seemed strange but still impossible to stay away from. Just loved it from the beginning although I probably didn't know I was just gonna descend more and more into the world of interesting noises. Before that it was only house and techno which I still enjoy but not in the ballpark of how much I love the music of Plaid, Ae, BoC and the likes of them. One I used to love but haven't heard in ages is Beaumont Hannant. What ever happened to him? /David --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I missed the original question - so apologies if inappropriate response. First IDM experience? 1974, my dad buys Kraftwerk Autobahn LP after hearing single on the radio. I'm 8. I listen to it on headphones endlessly, loving the way the car sound drives through the middle of my head. Bliss. Side 2's Mitternacht, etc I play after dark with my friends seeing who's a scaredy cat. All the best, Colin. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I'm in the process of unloading all of my vinyl and recently ebayed the 2x12" for Texturology. I was surprised that there seemed very little demand for it because it is an *excellent* release. I got turned onto it by 'che' (I want to see a vh1 'where are they now' show for old time idm folk) although can honestly say I don't recall there ever being a lot of talk about any of the releases on the idm list. Of course, the majority of the material was released 93-94, which is right about when I *really* started paying attention. Anyone know whats up? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Hooked up with Lida Husik and did some stuff together (not nearly as compelling as his own work). Somebody wrote here recently that there was something new in the pipeline, if I'm not mistaken?
