Also, don't sleep on: - His outstanding mix album "Your Face or Your Kneecaps," available on RJ's Electrical Connections. Great mix. - His earlier EP on BPM/Altered Vibes with the tracks "Here's What's Left" and "Two More Dead." Also essential. - I think there's a single on Def Jux, too, for "Let the Good Times Roll," one of the tracks from the Dead Ringers full-length, but I haven't heard that. - His *stellar* remix of "The F Word" by Cannibal Ox. - Decent remix of Aesop Rock's "Kill 'Em All." I've been watching his stuff since hearing the CanOx remix, and have to say he's one of my new faves. Great stuff. Yep, the 12" for "Let the Good Times Roll" has 3 Non-Album tracks that are dope. On the 2nd Def Jux comp he had a great track, 'I really like your def jux baby tee', and He does have a track (I think called 'True Confessions') on the Urban Renewal Comp, and, for those so inclined, he has a new EP out on Rhymesayers, Soul Position 'Unlimited EP', which features his instrumentals, with Blueprint MC'ing. Pretty hot. Definately the producer of the year. ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Goelzer" <johng@engberganderson.com> To: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Thursday, August 29, 2002 12:44 PM Subject: [idm] RJD2 (was Stuff I got in the mail today)

Excited that the Urban Renewal Comp has been released. For anyone who hasn't heard the mp3 floating about, its an excellent blend of idm/hiphop. This has been a favor listen for a while and believe it just got released on Choc. Ind. (was on skimo's last list I think, haven't seen in local shops yet though) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Ahhhhh... purchased. Should got that first. Oh well, nice to have the remixes. I'm happy to see this kind of stuff. It's so great that Hip Hop is moving like this. This is where it should always have gone, not that weak rhymed-poor timed, bling bling shit on MTV... ok, I'll shut up now. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
