I think I mentioned the recent Roger Tubesound album closer to when it came out. But I'll re-cap anyway... its REALLY good and one of the most interesting jazz/idm cross-polinations i've ever heard. Some nice keyboard soloing, insane drum solo cut-ups and the Atom sense of humor that is present on most of his releases. On the other hand, I downloaded the Geeez n Gosh album and really couldn't listen to it. I'm not hugely into the micro-house thing, but I thought Atom doing it with a gospel twist could be interesting based on some hype I'd heard. In the end, I don't really recall anything vaguely relating to gospel beyond the clever song titles. Pass on this one. My vote for Atom's next big move is to tackle eastern european gypsy music and smash it together with some drill n bass. Lord knows that shit is fast enough to start with. Fingers crossed. -Aaron ----- Original Message ----- From: omz <omz@sbcglobal.net> Date: Tuesday, July 30, 2002 10:53 pm Subject: Re: [idm] Warp talk

Well it's really surprising how someone can't find gospel in the new geeez 'n gosh. It's simply full of that - are you sure you've stolen the right thing? enjoy, but safely =: ma_hovina > http://atom-heart.com at 31.07.2002 4:46 Uhr, Aaron D Meyers wrote:

It's easy to make assumptions, but in possible defense of the original poster, this album _is_ on emusic... -- http://mas.cs.umass.edu/~rawlins -- Let's hear it for the vague blur! (P.K.Dick)

I know the guy is so prolific and so goddamn good, that he's almost hard to talk about. I mean where do you begin? It seems like everyday he's invented some new sort of sound- such as with Eric Satin and Los Samplers. But Disk seems different, more openended... In fact! it's a real blessing to be atom (Heart)'s fan. First of all he releases 10 albums/year and 2nd: they all are quite different -> the whole music world in only one person :) from clickHouse to jazz, microFunk and macroMicro. If there were only one sampler machine on the Earth he should own it, don't you think so? You can download an exclusive & free mp3 track by atom on the MOTHER compilation http://atom-heart.com/mother/ ===================== ===================== ===============>===== ===================== ===================== ===================== ===================== ===================== art can free your mind ma_hovina > http://ma-hovina.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
