Hi, If you could only buy a couple of albums from the following list (from what I've heard and read, they seem to have a similar style), which would they be ? Fizzarum - Monochrome Plural Geiom - Sellowtape flowers Metamatics & Clatterbox - Project Unison Infant - Growing Up Bauri - Slacker Journal Kettel - Smiling Little Cow Plod - Pillow Talk Wauvenfold - 3fold Funckarma - Parts Metamatics - From Death to Password Quench - Exclude Crunch - 1 M-tech slip wish Also what do you think of the beta bodega releases frente 57 and the patcha kutek albums ? I've seen them listed on the schematic website but could find very little info. I like the schematic comps and was wondering if they were in the same vein. Thanks a lot in advance. the bauri album is one of my favorite purchases in recent memory, great stuff. both metamatics albums are also excellent, i'd probably give the edge to "fromdeathtopasswords..." although my favorite from him is still "midnight sun pig" on dot records if you can find it. ... art @submodern.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

RECOMMENDED:
quoted 5 lines Fizzarum - Monochrome Plural>Fizzarum - Monochrome Plural >Bauri - Slacker Journal >Funckarma - Parts >Quench - Exclude >Metamatics - From Death to Password
funckarma = quench, so i would pick up one or the other. "exclude" is a bit more cinematic feeling, a lot darker. "exclude" is actually more comparable to funckarma's more recent "solid state" so if you've heard "solid state" and are looking for something similar, pick the quench disc up. i really recommend the newest metamatics and bauri releases, probably because they're newer and are still in heavy rotation on my player. haven't heard:

personally i don't like patcha kutek half as much as the newer phoenecia stuff, or the takeshi muto album. it's not a bad record but it's not my favorite stuff he's done. i think the schematic stuff is stronger. m.mercer :: design + sound http://www.matthewmercer.com/ _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
