Are you just meaning "statements and messages" in the sense of there being a conceptual component to the works, ie. it's art that was all about commenting on or questioning art and its function? By the way, Lisa I think the the original poster was asking whether dadaists had nonsense written about them by contemporary journalists.., not whether the dadaists were doing the same thing as the dudes in the article.
