Talkin' about Bjork and Morr Music. I received the other day the Rocket in My Pocket CD by Console, and I noticed that Bjork put the 7th song from that album on her Vespertine album. WTF? Did Console give her the permission to put vocals on that song and put it in her CD? The title on the Björk album is credited to Björk and Martin Console, and Martin Console is credited as programmer on the track. The fact that a Console track was used as is with added bonus was publicized well before the release of the album, and there is no reason to doubt that this was done without the consent of the author. The only gripe he may have had was that he was not credited under his real name, I guess. I get it now... that track has really stuck out since the first time I heard vespertine, and now I know why. It always bugged me how the synths and beats on the rest of the album were so intricate and painstakingly programmed, all spaced-out and crackly and ethereal, and then suddenly there was this one track that sounded like the presets on a $35 casio. Which is not to say it's a bad thing, it's just quite obviously a whole different compositional approach from the rest of the album. I wonder why she decided to throw it in there?
