DJ Scud, Noize Creator at the Smell.
DJ Scud, founder of London's Euro-scum and dark-core label Ambush, has
spent much time and energy schlepping around the E.U. in search of other
thrash-hound turntablists with whom to generate a fucked-up racket.
Scud's meth-binge feel adds new dynamics to the old dancehall-ic Lee
Perry-isms he's fond of. Sometimes in spite of himself, he'll build a
wall of dense, chaotic clatter just to careen it into sonic bits over
and over. Joining Scud is Dresden's Noize Creator, a blood 'n'
guts-loving computer geek who, with others like fellow Deutschlander DJ
Travis Bickle and Poland's Slepcy, fills out Ambush's pounding,
burger-fisted assault on anything remotely mainstream in the arena of
dance music.
