I'm surprised no one is talking about the new Aardvarck "Find The Cow" cd on Delsin. Think really solid atmospheric electronica with abstract broken beat/hip hop beats. Very good! Should appeal to fans of Cim, Carl Craig, GPR, etc. etc, Massive Props to Delsin, I've been really digging their releases! Definitely give the Aardvarck a listen, it's better than most of the stuff hyped on this list So Cal IDM Page http://home.earthlink.net/~efrans/scidm/ __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I'm glad someone brought up Delsin.. I totally agree with your thoughts regarding the new Aardvarck release on Delsin. I'm lining up a full interview feature with Marsel (who runs Delsin out of Amsterdam), so that's something to look forward to.. I'd also recommend checking the soundclips available at www.delsin.org to get a feel for the Delsin "sound" as their catalog (while mostly in a Detroit electronic vein, but not limited to) has a large amount of solid EP's released on vinyl. There's a new compilation follow-up to "..Going Thru Life" coming out in the next little while as well that will display Delsin current catalog.. Also lined up are releases by John Harvey aka Dimension 5.. his "Alien Artform" debut full-length has been recognized as material along the lines of Kenny Larkin, Aril Brikha et al. Compliments to D5 for an excellent release! I could go on, but i'll leave the list to check out the Delsin (audio/visual) site at www.delsin.org. Other labels worth checking in a similar vein.. DeFocus, Emoticon, Amp-Art.. All I have to say is Holy-moly!........ Actually, I heard the new FBA Ep........and it didnt have the feel that I wanted.....but the FBA theme--the last track on the Ep---is something to laud. The initial chords that he uses are really pleasing to the ear(....the same can be said about his Disconnected Cd.......) Omar Hackett IUPUI University Library 755 W.
