I know I have only begun to touch the surface of IDM so I was wondering what I should check out next. So far I have been checking out Richard Devine, Cylob, Jega, Muslimgauze, and Kid606. I also like electro-tech like Inform3r, Fischerspooner, Chicks on Speed, DMX Krew, Anthony Rother, Exzact, Bryan Never, Voicestealer. So if anyone wants to point me in the direction of some IDM let me know what is up with them I am craving more.....I need more ..more more. lataz Nate _________________________________________________________________ Join the world?s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

richard devine - check out basically anything on schematic, beta bodega, a couple merck releases might interest you. the new kristuit salu vs. morris nightengale is pretty glitchy (merck). http://www.schematic.net http://www.m3rck.net http://www.betabodega.de/ cylob - no one can top him. jega - general kinda breakbeat stuff might appeal to you. venetian snares does some amazing work if you like evil gabber (http://www.planet-mu.com). solar x does some similar stuff. the worm interface label might be your thing if you're into that (http://www.worminterface.com). also check out hymen (http://www.klangstabil.com/hymen/). muslimgauze - (R.I.P.) i actually haven't heard much of his stuff, but i've seen some references to black faction (http://www.alchemyaudiolab.com/ great stuff), maybe freeform (http://www.freefarm.co.uk). kid 606 - obviously anything on his label tigerbeat6 (http://www.tigerbeat6.com/) on the electro/synth pop tip - check computer rockers, mandroid, gd luxxe, basically anything on the breakin' records label (http://www.dmxkrew.dircon.co.uk/main/breakin/bf1.htm run by ed dmx). ersatz audio (http://www.ersatzaudio.com/) might have a few things you like... check out adult. my personal favorites lately are bitstream, ilkae, boulderdash, dabrye, anything on lux nigra, sellwell (http://www.sellwell.de) have been releasing some great records lately... there's a lot out there. too much actually. whew... have fun. glad to see someone is still excited about music. jon acre http://www.tenandtracer.com http://www.acre-c.com

You actually fairly wrong Jeremy. Theres many forms of gabber out there... PCP, Doomcore, Terrorcore, Happy Gabber, Noizecore, Breakcore, Grindcore and so many many more. I currently spin Breakcore, New Style and Terrocore. Most of it does follow a 4/4 pattern, but not all. My Sew Style ranges from the speed of 150-180bpm, my terrorcore is around the 220-240bpm range and Breakcore is all over the place. Venetian Snares makes alot of Breakcore which is a form of gabber. ----- Original Message ----- From: jeremy axon <jeremy@eyedmedia.com>

Yeah, I understand what breakcore is, I read the c8 list when its not bogged down in political yammering, its just that i don't associate it with the "g-" word. Yeah the C-8 list ahs been annoying of late... I really don't care about polotics at all. But speaking of V Snares... If you can find it, grab his latest CD, "Songs About My Cat". It's seriously amaazing. Also if you want something thats funny to listen to get the Regret magazine that comes with a CD. The CD has Stunt Rock and a few others on it. It's like a motivational speach cd over breakcore and noize... ----- Original Message ----- From: jeremy axon <jeremy@eyedmedia.com>

sorry, i thought this was a request for some suggestions. i didn't know it would open me up for an integrity attack. in the future i'll try to get my 9000000000 genres that sound exactly the same straight before i help someone out. and for the record, i've heard more venetian snares than most. take care all, jim acre ----- Original Message ----- From: "jeremy axon" <jeremy@eyedmedia.com> To: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Friday, February 15, 2002 8:16 AM Subject: Re: [idm] looking for the next step
