Disclaimer: This is somewhat off topic, and I do remember it being discussed before, but I can't seem to find the various threads. I am looking for something that works well for renaming the ID tags on MP3s. Currently I am using a freeware program called TagScanner and I have to say it is quite nice. I really like its flexibility with using filenames to figure out what the tags should be and it is quite fast, but my biggest complaint is that I cannot use short-cut keys with it, if I can avoid the mouse I can move along much much faster and I don't get irritating mouse pains. Does anyone have any suggestions for this. Again sorry to dredge this one up, but I'm at wits end and I really don't feel like trying out every single mp3 management tool out there. -Chris --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I use a program called ID3 Editor Plus. You can use the keyboard to do all your ID3 editing (using shift and tab keys etc.) And you can add entire directories then change all the Album field for multiple files at once etc. The only thing I find wrong with it is that it doesn't auto save. If you close the files without saving all your hard work is for naught. Other than that it's a top-notch - and free - program http://acer.mosbusiness.ru/id3edit.nsf Shimone/Justes http://www.staticbeats.com | Electronic Music http://www.shimone.org | Digital Photography ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris West" <fussik@mail.com> To: "Idm" <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Friday, February 01, 2002 3:23 PM Subject: [idm] [ot] ID tags and MP3 Management
