AA: Jospeh Nothing: Dummy Variations [ziq027]:::HOT DAMN what a piece of genius: the best record mu-ziq didnt release this year....... I got suckered into buying this cd the other day after being impressed with his track(s?) from the Tigerbeat6 Inc. comp. The full lengther is crap. Another case of another Tigerbeat artist trying to inject his music with a bunch of 'humor' (like Blectom, Cex, more I'm sure) which only drives it into the novelty section. I always thought Planet Mu concentrated on the noisier, more aggressive or experimental works. Not in this case at least...

That's a really strange observation.... Joseph Nothings stuff is extremely in line with mu-ziq's style as far as i know. It actually might be a little bit more happy than other planet-mu stuff, but not strangely so. But of course liking it or not is a matter of taste. - cutups --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Joseph Nothing records for Planet Mu not Tigerbeat6. The track on the Tigerbeat6 comp is an excerpt from a track on his Planet Mu album.

I don't see how using humor in music automatically makes it novelty !? Andrei --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
